What YouTube Go Live Together is
Go Live Together is YouTube's guest feature for mobile live streams. The help page says eligible creators can invite a guest, and that only one guest can appear on your stream at a time, though you can rotate guests. It does not define eligibility.
You go live from the YouTube mobile app: Create, then Live, and turn on Go Live Together in your settings. Under Invite a co-streamer you copy a link or send it through a messaging app. When the guest enters the waiting room, you select Add and go live.
The guest needs a YouTube channel, opens the invite link on a mobile device, selects a channel and taps Join. Your video appears next to your guest's, vertical by default. A stream with a guest can be scheduled from a computer in Live Control Room, then started from the phone.
The host is responsible for the content and can remove the guest at any time. Ads on the stream are attributed to the host channel; guests cannot see analytics.
What EveryCord co-hosts are
EveryCord is a free screen recorder and live streaming app for iPhone and iPad from Symaro, LLC. EveryCord 2.5, released on October 21, 2026, adds co-hosts: you go live with up to three friends on camera, each from their own iPhone, invited with an invite or an invite link. Their cameras appear as bubbles in your stream.
Everything runs on the phone. The stream goes to YouTube or Twitch with sign-in, or to any RTMP or RTMPS server, on up to three outputs at once, each sent from the device. Co-hosting is free with a free EveryCord account.
A note on fairness: EveryCord is made by Symaro, LLC, which also publishes this blog, so this comparison is not independent. Each fact about Go Live Together is what YouTube's own help page said on October 21, 2026.
