Copyright and DMCA policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
EveryCord respects the rights of copyright owners and expects the people who use it to do the same. This page explains how to tell us about content on EveryCord that you believe infringes your copyright, how the person who posted it can respond, and how we handle repeat infringers. EveryCord, which includes the EveryCord apps, EveryCord on the web and the everycord.net website, is operated by Symaro, LLC.
1. Our designated agent
Symaro, LLC’s designated agent to receive notices of claimed copyright infringement on EveryCord, under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512(c)(2)), is:
Copyright AgentSymaro, LLC
205 Morgan Court, Apt 2a
Manhattan, IL 60442
United States
Email: copyright@symaro.com
Email is the fastest way to reach our agent. This address is only for copyright notices and counter-notices; for anything else, use Live Support in the app or email services@symaro.com.
2. Sending a notice
To report content on EveryCord that you believe infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act for, such as a clip, a Past stream, a live stream, a profile photo or a comment, send our designated agent a written notice that includes:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or of a person authorized to act on the owner’s behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed or, if one notice covers several works, a representative list of them;
- identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough information for us to find it: its everycord.net link (everycord.net/c/… for a clip, everycord.net/live/… for a live stream or Past stream, everycord.net/u/… for a profile) and, for a stream, the time in it where the material appears;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
A notice that leaves out these elements may not be valid. The Report button in the apps is for other problems; a copyright notice must go to our designated agent.
3. What happens next
When we receive a notice that meets these requirements, we promptly remove or disable access to the material. If it is in a stream that is live, we may stop playing the stream on EveryCord. We tell the person who posted the material that we removed it and why, through Live Support in the app, and we may send them a copy of the notice, including the name and contact information in it, so they can respond. A Past stream removed after a notice cannot be posted again unless we restore it.
4. Counter-notices
If material you posted was removed because of a copyright notice and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send our designated agent a counter-notice that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed or to which access was disabled, and where it appeared before it was removed (its everycord.net link or its title);
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material; and
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Symaro, LLC may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or that person’s agent.
When we receive a valid counter-notice, we promptly send a copy of it, including your name and contact information, to the person who sent the original notice, and tell them that we will restore the material in 10 business days. We restore it no less than 10 and no more than 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice, unless our designated agent first receives notice from the person who sent the original notice that they have filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material on EveryCord. If a removed clip can no longer be restored, you may publish it again.
5. Repeat infringers
EveryCord terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright. We count each removal made after a valid copyright notice against the account that posted the material; a removal that is reversed after a counter-notice, or that we find was a mistake, does not count.
6. Misrepresentation
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees. Before you send a notice, consider whether the use could be fair use or otherwise allowed by law; if you are not sure, ask a lawyer.
7. Other concerns
For content that uses your trademark, impersonates you, shows you without your permission or breaks our community guidelines, use Report in the apps or contact Live Support. The Live Video Terms and our Privacy Policy explain how live streams, Past streams and Quick clips work.
