Where Larix Screencaster may suit you better
- Your server takes SRT, RIST, RTSP or WebRTC WHIP rather than RTMP. EveryCord is RTMP and RTMPS only.
- You run Nimble Streamer or another Softvelum product and want Larix Grove to push connection settings to devices by QR code or deep link.
- You want HEVC on the live stream, with adaptive bitrate and variable frame rate options.
- You also stream from Android or a drone controller; Softvelum lists Google Play, an APK and a DJI controller guide.
Where EveryCord may suit you better
- You want to stream longer than five minutes without paying. EveryCord has no time limit, no watermark and no paid tier.
- You stream to YouTube or Twitch and prefer signing in over copying a stream key.
- You want the sound of your game. EveryCord captures app audio, microphone or both; Softvelum says Larix Screencaster on iOS can only use the microphone unless the app you stream supports ReplayKit.
- You want friends in the stream or live chat with moderation. Up to three co-hosts join on camera from their own iPhones, free.
Price and the five-minute limit
The App Store listing for Larix Screencaster shows two in-app purchases: Screencaster Premium Monthly at $9.99 and Screencaster Premium Yearly at $119.00. The listing says Premium removes the 5-minute time limit. Softvelum's Premium page adds that without Premium the app allows streaming for 5 minutes for free with a mandatory overlay, then the stream stops.
Softvelum sells Premium through the App Store or a Larix Tuner license, tied to an Apple ID or Google account and not shared between iOS and Android. The App Store listing requires iOS 15.0 or later.
EveryCord has no time limit and no watermark on live streams or recordings. Sparks are optional purchases viewers send in live chat to support streamers; streamers get half of what EveryCord receives from Apple. Nothing you need in order to stream is behind them.
How to stream your iPhone screen with EveryCord
- Install EveryCord from the App Store. Recording and streaming to a custom RTMP server need no EveryCord account.

- Open Apple's screen recording controls, pick EveryCord and confirm Start Broadcast.
- Open your game. Each output leaves your device on its own at up to 720p and 30 fps; if one drops, the others keep running.
- On iOS 18 or later, turn on Show my camera, or invite up to three co-hosts. Stop from the recording controls; the recording stays on your device.
