EveryCord or BIGO LIVE: what an iPhone streamer can actually do with each
BIGO LIVE, from BIGO TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD., is a free social live streaming app with gifts, Live PK and chat rooms, rated 18+ on the App Store. EveryCord, also free, streams your iPhone or iPad screen to YouTube, Twitch and any RTMP server. Going live in the BIGO LIVE app
BIGO LIVE is a social live streaming platform. Its App Store listing describes watching live streams, live game streaming, live chat rooms for up to 8 people, voice chat, Live PK against friends, a Cute Pet feature, filters and stickers, and going live to gain fans and receive gifts. The listing claims over 700 million users.
The app is free with in-app purchases shown as numbered packs, from 10 for $0.29 to 5197 for $129.99; the listing does not name what the numbers buy. It requires iOS 15.1 or iPadOS 15.1 or later, is 268.5 MB, supports 21 languages and carries an 18+ age rating with labels for loot boxes, messaging and user-generated content.
For games, BIGO's blog describes a Game Live mode in the app: tap the video icon, swipe to Game Live, select an installed game, add a title and tap Go Live. The page also asks you to allow BIGO to display over other apps, and does not say whether the steps are for iPhone or Android.

BIGO's OBS stream key, and what it means for EveryCord
BIGO's OBS Stream page on bigo.tv says to log in with your BIGO account, open Personal Centre, enter Settings and turn on the switch. You then copy the server URL and stream key, select Custom under Stream in OBS, paste both, and start streaming. The status shows connected and you manage the room in the app.
BIGO's PC guide, updated July 8, 2026, repeats those steps as turn on OBS streaming, and warns to keep the stream key private. Neither page uses the word RTMP, names any software other than OBS, or lists an eligibility rule for the switch. The OBS page links to stream parameter requirements that were not readable for this post.
EveryCord takes any RTMP or RTMPS server URL with a stream key as a custom output. If the server URL BIGO shows begins with rtmp or rtmps, it can be pasted into EveryCord like any other custom destination. If it does not, EveryCord cannot reach BIGO. BIGO's Connector and Streamer desktop tools are separate and not involved.

Which one for...
- Gaming on iPhone: EveryCord for Twitch, YouTube or Kick, with the whole screen and app audio. BIGO LIVE if your viewers are on BIGO, through its Game Live mode.
- IRL camera streaming: BIGO LIVE for a camera show with gifts, filters and PK battles inside one social app. EveryCord for a camera window over your screen, with co-hosts, sent to YouTube or Twitch.
- Tutorials and app demos: EveryCord, which records the screen with no watermark, adds captions and streams to platforms where tutorials are searched for.
- Work and school videos: EveryCord. BIGO LIVE is an 18+ social app on the listing and its pages do not describe recording.
- Streaming to several platforms: EveryCord, with up to three outputs at once. BIGO's pages describe streaming to BIGO.
- Going live with friends: either. BIGO has chat rooms for up to 8 people and Live PK; EveryCord has up to three co-hosts on camera from their own iPhones, sent to YouTube, Twitch or an RTMP server.
Getting BIGO's server URL and stream key
- Log in with your BIGO account on bigo.tv and open Personal Centre by clicking your avatar in the upper right corner.
- Enter Settings and turn on the OBS switch.
- Copy the server URL and stream key. Keep the key private; BIGO's PC guide says it is connected to your live broadcast.
- BIGO's page then has you select Custom under Stream in OBS and paste both values. EveryCord's custom output takes the same two values, if the server URL is RTMP or RTMPS.
- Start streaming. BIGO's page says the connection status shows connected, and you can view the live and manage the room in the app.
- Check BIGO's stream parameter requirements, linked from the OBS page, against EveryCord's output of up to 720p at 30 fps and about 3 Mbps.
How EveryCord does it
You add YouTube or Twitch, or add a custom output by pasting a server URL and stream key, which is where a BIGO OBS key would go. Up to three outputs run at once, each straight from the device at up to 720p at 30 fps and about 3 Mbps; if one drops, the others keep going.
Then you open Apple's screen recording controls, pick EveryCord and confirm Start Broadcast. Viewers see your screen with app audio and your microphone. On iOS 18 or later, Show my camera adds your face in a small floating window with a free EveryCord account.
Friends can join as co-hosts from their own iPhones through an invite link, with their cameras as bubbles in your stream. Chat in EveryCord Social has delete, time out, ban, slow mode and blocked words, and clips get a link anyone can open.
