Where Switcher Studio may suit you better
- You switch between several cameras. Switcher Studio connects up to 9 other camera sources, including other iPhones and iPads, webcams and HDMI cameras through an adapter.
- You bring in remote guests or a presenter's shared screen as one source among many.
- You need more than three destinations. Suite lists up to 20 at once, distributed from Switcher's cloud so your connection carries one stream.
- You sell access or want a pass for one event. Suite lists tickets, pay-to-watch content and subscriptions. The website lists a Studio 7-Day Pass at $35; the App Store lists a 7-day pass at $24.99.
Where EveryCord may suit you better
- You want to stream or record your own iPhone or iPad screen without a second device. EveryCord uses Apple's screen recording controls on the device you hold.
- You do not want a subscription. Recording, streaming, co-hosting, chat and clips are free, with no watermark and no time limit.
- You stream to two or three places at once from the device, with no cloud in between. If one output drops, the others keep running.
- You run iOS 15, 16 or 17, or want friends on camera without a production setup. Up to three co-hosts join from their own iPhones with an invite link.
Screen sharing: two different meanings
In Switcher Studio, screen sharing means a second iPhone or iPad with the Switcher app shares its screen over the same Wi-Fi network into the main switching device. The help article, updated April 21, 2026, says the entire screen is visible in the broadcast.
In EveryCord, the device you hold is the stream. You open Apple's recording controls, pick EveryCord and confirm Start Broadcast. App audio, your microphone or both go out, and Show my camera can float your camera over the screen on iOS 18 or later.
Multistreaming differs the same way. Switcher's help center says its cloud distributes one stream to several destinations, so no extra bandwidth is needed on location. EveryCord sends each output straight from the device, about 3 Mbps upload each.
