Sparks

EveryCord Sparks Terms

Effective on the day Sparks launch in EveryCord 2.5. Version 2026-10-17.

These terms add to the EveryCord Terms of Service (everycord.net/terms) and Privacy Policy (everycord.net/privacy). EveryCord is operated by Symaro, LLC ("EveryCord", "we", "us"). If these terms and the Terms of Service disagree about Sparks, these terms apply.

1. What Sparks are

Sparks are a virtual item you can buy in the EveryCord apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro and send in EveryCord live streams to support the streamer. Sparks are a limited, revocable license to use a feature of EveryCord. They are not money, a deposit, a stored-value product or property you own. Sparks are optional: recording, streaming, co-hosting, chat and clips are free for everyone.

2. Buying Sparks

You can buy Sparks only through Apple's in-app purchase in the EveryCord apps. Apple processes the payment, sets the price in your currency, and handles taxes and refunds under Apple's terms. We don't sell Sparks anywhere else.

3. How streamers are paid

Your payment goes to EveryCord through Apple, not to the streamer. EveryCord pays streamers under the Creator Payout Terms: for each purchase, streamers get half of what Apple pays EveryCord for the Sparks they're sent, which is the price you paid minus Apple's fee and any taxes Apple collects, converted to US dollars where needed. The other half keeps EveryCord running, including its servers. Each purchase keeps its own value, so what a streamer gets depends on the pack and the country where the Sparks were bought. Sparks you don't send earn nothing. Payouts to streamers are available only in the United States for now. Sending Sparks is not a charitable contribution and is not tax deductible.

4. No cash value; no transfers

Sparks have no cash value. You can't exchange them for money, sell them, trade them or move them to another account, and we don't buy them back. The only way to use Sparks is to send them in an EveryCord live stream. Streamers don't receive your Sparks as Sparks; they earn money from EveryCord under the Creator Payout Terms.

5. Sparks don't expire

Sparks in your account don't expire. If we stop offering Sparks, we'll tell you in the app at least 90 days before, you can keep sending your Sparks until then, and we'll follow the law where you live for any remaining balance.

6. Sending Sparks

You choose an amount and can add a message of up to 100 characters. The send screen shows roughly what those Sparks cost you. Sparks messages follow our Community Guidelines and chat filters, and moderators or EveryCord may remove them; removing a message doesn't return the Sparks. Bigger amounts can be pinned at the top of chat for up to a stated time; pins take turns in the order they're sent and can end early if the stream ends or a host or moderator unpins or removes the message, and the Sparks aren't returned. Sent Sparks can't be undone. You can send Sparks only to streamers 18 and older who accept them. You can't send Sparks to your own stream, to a stream whose host turned Sparks off, from an account linked to the host's account, or while you're blocked, banned or timed out in that channel or your account is restricted. Sparks can't be used for raffles, giveaways, contests, wagers or anything based on chance, or as charity or fundraising. We limit how many Sparks can be sent in a period to protect accounts.

7. Supporter levels and perks

Your supporter level is based on the Sparks you've sent, not counting test Sparks, revoked sends or Sparks from refunded purchases: Supporter (any), Bronze (500), Silver (2,500) and Gold (10,000). Perks are for style only and never unlock features. Your badge appears only if you choose to show it; when it's shown, other people can see your level, which reveals a range of how many Sparks you've sent, but not the exact amount. You can hide it at any time, also on earlier messages. We may change perks; we'll tell you in the app before we remove a perk from a level.

8. Refunds

Apple decides refunds. If Apple refunds a purchase, we remove the unspent Sparks from that purchase. Sparks you already sent from it stay sent, no longer count toward your supporter level, and the streamer's earnings from them are reversed. If you turn on "Share Sparks usage with Apple for refund requests" in Settings > Sparks, then when you ask Apple for a refund of a Sparks purchase we tell Apple that the Sparks were delivered, that a description of Sparks was shown before purchase, what share of that purchase's Sparks you sent, and whether we prefer that Apple grant or decline the refund. This setting is off unless you turn it on, isn't needed to buy Sparks, and can be turned off at any time. Except as required by law, EveryCord doesn't give refunds for Sparks.

9. Test Sparks

Sparks bought in TestFlight, during App Review or with Apple sandbox accounts are test Sparks. They look the same to you but have no value, can be sent only in EveryCord test streams, earn streamers nothing and don't count toward supporter levels.

10. Your account

Sparks are tied to the EveryCord account you were signed in to when you bought them. If you delete your account, your Sparks are removed and can't be restored or refunded by EveryCord; you can ask Apple about a refund. While your account is suspended you can't send Sparks. If we ban your account, Sparks credited through fraud or tied to the violation are removed; for other unused Sparks you can ask Apple about a refund, and we follow the law where you live. We may correct mistakes in your balance.

11. Fraud and misuse

We may remove Sparks credited by mistake or through fraud, reverse their effects, and limit sending when we see unusual activity.

12. Age

If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy Sparks; Apple's family settings, such as Ask to Buy, apply. Accounts that we have reason to believe belong to someone under 18 have a lower daily sending limit and can't receive Sparks.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. For changes that matter to you, we'll tell you in the app before they apply. The version is at the top of this page.
