Sparks

EveryCord Creator Payout Terms

Effective on the day Sparks launch in EveryCord 2.5. Version 2026-10-17.

These terms add to the EveryCord Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and apply to receiving Sparks and to money you earn from them. EveryCord is operated by Symaro, LLC ("EveryCord", "we", "us").

1. What you earn

When viewers send you Sparks in your live streams, you earn money from EveryCord, not Sparks. For every Spark you receive, you get half of what Apple pays EveryCord for that Spark: the price the viewer paid for the purchase it came from, minus Apple's fee and any taxes Apple collects, divided by the number of Sparks in that purchase. EveryCord keeps the other half. If Apple changes its fee, both halves change with it. Amounts in other currencies are converted to US dollars at the reference exchange rate in the proceeds table EveryCord uses to value that purchase (the European Central Bank's rate or, for currencies it doesn't publish, another public daily reference rate). That is normally the table in use when the Sparks were bought; a purchase that waits for a value uses the table in use when it is valued. Apple's own currency conversion when it pays EveryCord can differ slightly and doesn't change your earnings. Amounts are worked out in millionths of a US dollar for each purchase, rounded down, and the remainder stays with EveryCord. If we can't yet confirm what Apple pays for a purchase (for example after a price change), your earnings from it are added once we can, and the app shows those Sparks as still being worked out. EveryCord pays Stripe's fees; they never come out of your half. Test Sparks and Sparks that EveryCord adds to an account (such as support corrections) earn nothing. Earnings are tracked and paid in US dollars.

2. Who can receive Sparks and request payouts

To receive Sparks you must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. To request payouts you must also have an EveryCord account in good standing, live in the United States (payouts aren't available in other countries yet, and we can't promise when or whether they will be), complete setup with Stripe, our payments partner (identity verification, tax information and a bank account), and accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement (stripe.com/connect-account/legal) during setup. If you live elsewhere and meet the age requirement, you can receive Sparks and your earnings are recorded, but you can't request payouts. By setting up payouts you confirm that the information you give is yours and accurate, that you have only one payout account, that you are not on a sanctions list or in a sanctioned country, and that you'll use payouts lawfully. We pay only where it is lawful for us to do so.

3. Holding period and minimum

Earnings usually become available 30 days after you receive the Sparks, so most refunds can settle, and up to 90 days for new creators or for Sparks from new or recently refunded buyers. Refunds can still arrive later (section 5). You can request a payout when you have at least US$50.00 available, and your first payout 7 days after you set up payouts.

4. Requesting payouts

Request a payout in the app or on the web. We review each request, usually within 3 business days, and may ask questions or hold a request while we look into unusual activity. When approved, we send the amount in US dollars to your Stripe account, and Stripe pays your bank on your payout schedule (Stripe's first payout to a new account usually takes 7 to 14 days). EveryCord pays Stripe's account and payout fees. If a payment can't be sent, the amount returns to your available earnings.

5. Refunds, disputes and reversals

If a purchase that paid for Sparks you received is refunded or disputed, the earnings from those Sparks are removed. If they were already available or paid out, the amount is deducted from your future earnings, and you can't request a payout while you owe an amount. We deduct only for refunds and disputes Apple reports to us within 180 days after you received the Sparks. If we reverse a transfer to your Stripe account (for example for fraud), Stripe may take the amount from your Stripe balance and, if that isn't enough, debit your bank account under the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.

6. Not allowed

Sending Sparks to yourself through other accounts; buying Sparks to send to yourself, or arranging for others to do it for money or anything else of value; offering anything outside EveryCord in exchange for Sparks; running raffles, giveaways, contests, wagers or anything based on chance tied to Sparks; presenting Sparks as charity or fundraising; using stolen accounts or payment methods; or misusing refunds. If we find this, we may hold, reverse or forfeit related earnings, reverse payouts where possible, and restrict accounts.

7. Taxes

You're responsible for taxes on your earnings. Stripe collects tax information during setup, and payouts wait until it is complete. If you're in the United States, you may receive a tax form (such as Form 1099) from EveryCord through Stripe. You can download a yearly earnings statement in the app. We may withhold amounts when the law requires.

8. Corrections

If earnings are added to your account by mistake (for example because of a bug or a duplicate), we may correct them, and we'll show you the correction and the reason in the app.

9. Our relationship

Earning from Sparks doesn't make you an employee, partner or agent of EveryCord, and there's no guaranteed amount of earnings.

10. Holds, restrictions and appeals

When we hold, pause, reduce, reverse or refuse earnings or a payout, we tell you why in the app, with a reason and a note. You can reply or appeal through Live Support, and we'll review your reply. Payouts pause while your account is suspended. If we ban your account, we review your earnings and may forfeit earnings connected to the violation; we pay other earnings where the law requires.

11. Deleting your account

If payouts are set up when you delete your account, we send your available earnings as a final payout after review, with no minimum, and earnings still on hold when their holds end. If payouts aren't set up, set them up before deleting; otherwise we keep a record of your earnings and handle them as the law requires for unclaimed money. Contact services@symaro.com about earnings after deletion.

12. Changes and ending payouts

We'll tell you in the app at least 15 days before changes to these terms take effect, and at least 30 days before changes that reduce what you earn, such as a lower share. Changes to Apple's fees, taxes or exchange rates aren't changes to these terms. If we end creator payouts, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and pay your remaining earnings after the holding period, with no minimum, where you're eligible to receive payouts.

13. Privacy

Stripe handles your identity documents and bank details under its privacy policy. EveryCord receives your Stripe account status, country, which details Stripe still needs, and payout records, never your bank account number or identity documents. EveryCord records whether you're 18 or older (and, if you told us you're not, the month you turn 18), never your date of birth. If Stripe asks for a guardian for your account, we treat the account as under 18.
